The 11am Sung Eucharist is the main Cathedral service, with a sermon and choir, using the 1982 Liturgy. On the first Sunday of each month prayers for healing take place in the Lady Chapel.
Communion is celebrated at either the Nave Altar or the High Altar depending on the season. The service is led by the clergy with lay participation in reading (from the Revised Common Lectionary) and intercessions. There is always a choir during term times.
Monthly Prayers for Healing takes place after communion at the 11am service in the Lady Chapel on the first Sunday of the month. Anyone is welcome to come along to share in complete confidence quiet prayers in the name of Christ about whatever is in your heart and mind.
Children are always welcome and there is also a children’s corner, with soft cushions, in the side aisle where children can read and draw while the service is in progress.
Tea/coffee is served in the Chapter House after the service and all are welcome. A Traidcraft stall is also available most Sundays and a second hand book stall on the first Sunday of each month.
Traidcraft was established in 1979 to fight poverty through trade. Perth became a Fair Trade City in June 2005. We have a Traidcraft stall in the Chapter House, which sells useful groceries and divine chocolate every Sunday after the 11 o’clock service.
